About
The Taylored Pickleball Initiative (TPI) is guided by the concept known as the “Joy of Sport for All”.
As a Canadian registered non-profit organization, our primary focus is to encourage participation in sports, provide positive youth development skills and promote multi-generational participation to three main population segments across Canada.
-
Youth,
-
Indigenous, and
-
Mixed Abilities
Our Initiative will focus on four pillars of Positive Youth Development:
1. Healthy Lifestyle – Focusing on the importance of physical & mental health, and building positive relationships between peers, adults, & members of their community
2. Character – Teaching them the fundamentals of establishing long-term, positive relationships in their lives
3. Academics – Understanding that learning is a lifelong opportunity while teaching the soft and technical skills needed to reach their dreams
4. Leadership – Demonstrating the behaviours and values necessary to become effective and positive leaders within their communities and circles of influence.
We believe that by creating positive, safe, and engaging experiences, relationships, and environments for our participants, we will empower them to reach their own personal potential
Our Mission
Is to create a positive, fun, engaging, educational and safe environment for our participants so they can learn, grow, and be empowered through the sport of Pickleball.
Our Vision
Is to empower our participants by teaching them positive development skills and making the concept of the ‘Joy of Sport to All’ a common term in Canada.
We are a relationship-first initiative that takes great pride in getting to know our participants, communities, and business partners on a more personal level so we can 'Taylor' our programs for optimal success.
Our Board of Directors
Meet TPI's Board of Directors, without them, none of this would be possible!
